Eric HudsonDirector of Travel Sales - US
EHudson@GuardianTravelGroup.com Originally an Orchestra director, Eric spent 16 years in the classroom working for Kentwood Public Schools. During his time there, Eric enjoyed working with students, traveling with them, and shaping the orchestra program to a more modern approach. Eric created and ran the school’s first alternative styles orchestra called ABC Orchestra (Anything But Classical), which helped redefine what an orchestra could look like and sound like. Eric, along with his orchestra colleagues, saw huge success in the retention of students, quality of performances, and overall community approval of the orchestra program. Traveling with students was always a core value of the orchestra program at Kentwood, and with that, Eric was able to plan and facilitate over 30 trips during his 16-year career. That school travel would include places like Cleveland OH for the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame, Nashville TN, Orlando FL for Disney and Universal Studios, and of even Washington DC. Eric was also able to do some international travel with his students, taking his ABC Orchestra to both Ireland and Scotland to learn about the music first hand as well as perform. In his personal life, Eric loves to travel and rarely spends time at home if he can help it. He has traveled to 34 countries so far and would love to see that list grow. His favorite places to visit include New Orleans, Puerto Vallarta Mexico, Sofia Bulgaria, China, and Bali Indonesia. Eric is a rare-breed of traveler and loves the planning phase and travel day (airports, trains, etc) almost as much as the destination he is heading to! You will find him happiest on a beach catching some sun, in a restaurant trying new and exciting foods, or outdoors exploring nature around the world. Eric is very excited to join the team at Guardian Music and Group Travel and is ready to help you and your group plan the best trip! He is looking forward to working with you and helping you create lasting memories from travel, just as he has done for himself. |
